We picked up our new trailer this week. It was a lot of fun shopping and packing to camp. We bought all kinds of dishes, bedding and supplies. Friday night we were ready to go so we headed for Beaver Lake to join our friends. Friday night there was not much time for Hailey to play before bed so she visited a bit with Cory and LeeAnn before we tucked her in to her new bunk. LeeAnn and I both turned in close to midnight but it wasn't long before a loud beeping alarm had me hopping out of bed. The boys were sitting out by the fire. Hailey and I hopped out of the trailer having discovered it was the propane alarm. When we picked up the trailer the sales guy warned us to get out of the trailer immediately if the propane alarm ever goes off. The boys were in fine form after several beers around the campfire but none the less they investigated and determined it was safe to go back to bed. Darcy and I tucked Hailey back in and turned in for the night. About a half an hour later we woke to the beeping alarm again. We bolted out of the trailer and the boys investigated again. This time Hailey and I didn't wait around, we wondered over to Cory and LeeAnn's camper and hopped in with LeeAnn for a snooze. The boys discovered that the cable that charges the battery somehow got pinched in the hitch and severed. The battery was dead so the propane alarm kept going off. After having learned that lesson we started to charge the battery and slept comfortably for the rest of the night.
The next day was nice and warm. Hailey developed an unusual rash on her cheeks and it just seemed to keep getting worse. Luckily someone offered us some cream to try and it really seemed to help. Poor thing. The boys went fishing Saturday evening and did well, aside from poor Darcy. The fish were biting, just not his line.Sunday we were disappointed to have to head home early. We were already looking forward to our next camping trip!
