Hailey had soccer this morning. She played well and even scored a goal. Every week she is listening better to the coaches and seems to understand more and more how to play and be a part of a team which at age 3 is really all we can ask for.
Tuesday's gymnastics class went well too. Dylan slept through it so I was able to focus on Hailey but she played well and listed to her coach there as well.Hailey says some pretty funny things these days. She adopts a lot of them from us so we have to be very careful about what we say. When driving she tells both Darcy and I to slow down. Which is funny because it actually doesn't really matter how fast we are going. She also has picked up on Jeez people. I say it when I am driving and she now says it -- oops. Today she held a very detailed conversation with me about my band-aid, which is covering a small burn on my hand. She informed me she likes ice because it tastes good and is way better than water, but she doesn't like it in her juice. She was introduced to curling last weekend and has decided that when she gets bigger grandma and grandpa will teach her to play. She is very into the whole Santa thing this year. She somehow has figured out that it will eventually snow, then if she is a good girl Santa will bring her toys. I guess from her perspective that sums it up. She is already making a bit of a Christmas list for Santa.
Dylan is a cutie pie too. Rolling over both directions and squirming his way across the floor. He has not been a very good sleeper. He has picked up a bad habit and pretty much only wants to sleep in our arms. It makes it tough to get a good night sleep because we end up soothing him several times through the night. We'll have to work on that one pretty quick. He has had a rough few weeks with a cold and then getting some teeth. He got his first tooth on the 10th and a second one on the 20th. He is a lot of fun, he really likes to grab things like toys and stuffies and then he is a bit of a trouble maker grabbing hair, earrings and glasses too. Right now he is 'demanding' to be rocked to sleep so I must go.
