Out and About with the Babes

Thursday I took the babes to the mall. Dylan has turned out to be a content baby with lots of coos and smiles. I find that giving him periodic bottles throughout makes it so I am comfortable going out for several hours at a time by myself -- which is very different from when Hailey was very young. Dylan slept in the stroller most of the time and Hailey was remarkably well behaved most of the day.

Our goal was to find shoes for Hailey and something formal for Dylan to where to Sean and Robyn's wedding. We found both and then headed home to see daddy. I can't wait for us to all get dressed up together. We drove home and picked up daddy, had a quick bite to eat and then did a bit more shopping. During our evening shopping trip I found shoes for myself to wear for the wedding and was very pleased to cross one more item off my to do list.

Friday I packed for another weekend at the lake, our last for a little while. We drove up Friday night and stayed until Sunday. The weather was beautiful on Saturday and Sunday. LeeAnn and Cory were at the lake this weekend as well, along with some family and friends. Cory took Hailey and Darcy for a ride in the boat and the weather was warm enough that everyone enjoyed a swim. Hailey got several more mosquito bites, boo boos and scrapes on her arms and legs. I think given she will be a flower girl in a few weeks it is probably a good thing she will be home for awhile. When we got home Sunday evening we were hungry and tired so we went out for pizza and then went home to bed.

Monday morning Darcy had to travel for work. This week he is gone only 1 night, which is very nice. Dylan had his 6 week check up this morning. He weighed in at 12 lbs which is not surprising. He is a healthy baby with quite the appetite. He has already outgrown some of his clothes and feels heavier when we lift him. He has developed a bit of baby acne over the past few weeks which comes and goes. This afternoon we did even more shopping!
